Dr. Elizabeth (Betsy) Shryer Boyle enjoys her work providing psychological services including therapy to adolescents and adults in individual, couples and family formats. The office setting for her private practice in the Macalester Groveland area of Saint Paul, Minnesota treats people to a calming ambiance in a beautifully restored building on Selby Avenue looking out onto a beautiful courtyard with a stone waterfall that cascades into a pool with goldfish during warmer months.
With nearly thirty years experience as a therapist, and as a graduate with both master's and doctoral degrees from The University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, she has strong ties to the Twin Cities area. Her private practice allows her to work with a broad spectrum of patients. Her areas of expertise include working with patients who have chronic pain and illnesses, eating disorders, mood disorders, all forms of anxiety, PTSD, trauma, co-occurring disorders (chemical health issues with mental health problems), sleep problems, and relationship issues whether in partnerships or families. She works with people from adolescence through those in their elderly years.
In addition to being a prominent therapist, Dr. Boyle has presented trainings when she worked with the Minnesota Department of Corrections and participates in trainings with the use of clinical hynosis. She also provides supervision to other psychologists and therapists. Dr. Boyle is an interactive, solution-oriented psychologist whose main goal is to help clients to identify and resolve the problems that might be bothering them. Her therapeutic approach is built on her compassion and understanding of each person she works with. She helps each person to build on his or her own strengths and attain the personal growth that client is committed to reaching. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques into the best methods and uses the latest information from scientific research to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each person. She truly enjoys her patients and her work, learning from them each day. She is active in the Minnesota Society of Clinical Hypnosis and a member of several other professional organizations.
